Club History


Montrose Youth FC was first established in 1993. It was felt instead of having small clubs all around the town it would be better for them all to run under the same title thus allowing it to be easier to access pitches and referees. The aim of the club is to promote grass roots football to young boys & girls in the town and surrounding areas.

Montrose Youth runs teams from under eight right through to under nineteen. The club ensures every Manager and Coach have S.F.A. training certificates, each age group has a trained first aider, but most importantly every person involved in the running of our teams are put through a disclosure Scotland check. We must also run with all the S.Y.F.A. guidelines which are in place to protect the children. Every member of Montrose Youth Football Club gives their time voluntary. We meet once a month to discuss many things including any improvements we can make. Most of our matches are played on a Sunday.
